Leopold Marine is a dry bulk shipping company registered and licensed in Dubai, established in 2026 to provide sea transportation for dry bulk cargo of any size, on any of the world's main trade routes, to a wide range of international clients.
We move dry bulk cargo by sea. For a cargo owner that means a vessel of the right size and gear, at the load port within the laycan, carrying the parcel to the discharge port at a freight agreed once and honoured. For a shipowner it means clean employment, hire paid on time and the vessel redelivered as taken. We fix, operate and settle every voyage ourselves.
Our tonnage runs from Handysize to Capesize, taken on period and trip time charter and employed on voyage charters and contracts of affreightment. Our cargoes are the full range of major and minor bulks: coal, iron ore, grain, fertilisers, manganese, chrome and bauxite, cement and clinker, sulphur, petcoke, steel and aggregates. Our routes are the main dry bulk trades of the Pacific, the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic.
The founders of Leopold Marine have spent their careers in dry bulk, on both sides of the charter party: commercial management of owned tonnage, chartering for cargo interests, voyage estimating and post-fixture operations, and the arbitration and claims work that follows when things are not settled cleanly. That experience runs from Handysize to Capesize and from the Baltic to the Far East.
Dubai was the natural base. It sits between the Indian Ocean coal, ore and grain trades, the Arabian Gulf's own bulk exports, and the East African and Indian markets that take them. It is a financial and legal jurisdiction that counterparties in Asia, Europe and Africa all accept, and it is on the working day of all three.
A rate is a promise: we quote what we can perform and perform what we quote. The ship comes first: vetted owners, classed tonnage, P&I entered, CII rating known before we fix. We settle cleanly: laytime statements issued promptly, demurrage and despatch agreed on the evidence, accounts closed without argument. And compliance is not optional: sanctions screening on every counterparty, cargo and port.
